Looking back at Rock Challenge® history!

Merry Christmas everybody! We hope you’ve had a great 2018, from finishing this year’s tour in the summer to starting on your new performance this term, Rock Challenge® has been a blast. We can’t wait to see what you’re going to bring to tour next year!! But since we’re taking a break for the holidays, we’re feeling like reminiscing on how far Rock Challenge® has come since it all began…

Fun Facts!
★ Rock Challenge® events have made an appearance in Australia, New Zealand, Japan, Germany, South Africa, United Arab Emirates and a briefly in the US!
★ In Australia ‘Rock Eisteddfod’ was massive and their finals were even broadcast on television!
★ The most famous participant of Rock Challenge® in the UK was actress Emma Watson from the Harry Potter franchise. She participated twice, once in 2006 and once as her Rock Challenge® Leader in 2007 whilst at school in Oxford.
★ The biggest ever audience at a Rock Challenge® event was in Aberdeen’s AECC in 2014 with 2,092 people!
★ The farthest travelled team was in 2012, they showcased at the Aberdeen heat, the Scottish Final and then also competed in the Northern Premier Final and the National Final – in total travelling 2,190 miles in one tour!
